For the past several years, Andrew has given a variety of illustrated presentations on topics from the role of the French in the American Revolution, to a soldier-artist's unique account of World War II, to Napoleon's ill-fated 1812 invasion of Russia.
These unique historical talks are brought to life through the use of compelling visuals from the Anne S. K. Brown Military Collection at Brown University, of which Andrew has been a Trustee since 1996.

US Marine Corps Art - The Anne SK Brown Military Collection, Brown University
This illustrated article showcases art of US Marines that served in the Pacific during WWII from the Anne S.K. Brown Military Collection at Brown University. Marine artists were free to attach themselves to any unit and had wide latitude to draw and paint whatever they found compelling. Among the many artists cited, Harry Reeks is notable because, in addition to his extensive art, Reeks kept a diary of his time in the Pacific and wrote a war memoir in the 1950s.
